India batter Pratika Rawal has been added to India’s ODI squad for the upcoming Australia series after successfully completing her rehabilitation.

According to a press release from the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), Rawal has fully recovered from the ankle injury she sustained during the 2025 Women’s World Cup. She completed her rehabilitation at the BCCI Centre of Excellence (COE).
Rawal had injured her ankle while fielding during the rain-affected match against Bangladesh in October and had to leave the field. She was subsequently replaced in the squad by Shafali Verma ahead of the semi-final. Since then, Rawal has not featured in any competitive cricket as she focused on her recovery.
Earlier, she was also named in the squad for the one-off Test that will follow the ODI series against Australia.
Despite being sidelined, Rawal continued to make strides off the field. She earned a spot in the BCCI central contracts list following a record-breaking start to her international career. She was also picked up by the UP Warriorz for the 2026 Women’s Premier League (WPL), though she did not feature in the tournament due to her injury. Notably, she is yet to make her Women’s T20I debut.
